Beginning Sewing 6 weeks Saturday 28 August - 2 October (inclusive) 10am - 12 noon (Full) 1pm - 3pm (Full)
Continuing sewing classes are held on Tuesday evenings from 6 - 8pm and will resume 14 September. If you are interested in attending this class please email or phone The Fashion School.
Cost for Beginners: $340 for 6 weeks which includes everything you will need. The kit of sewing requisites (see photo below). Also included is the pattern, fabric & thread for the first project and, the pattern, (very good quality) fabric, thread & elastic to complete your skirt. You will not have to buy anything else! All sewing machines are supplied. All that you will receive has a retail value of not less than $150, so it is good value.

In this class:
Beginners will fit and sew a pull-on skirt. - Beginners will learn: to navigate their way around a sewing machine; to use different sewing machine feet; different stitches and when to use them; how to identify different fabrics; to lay out and cut a pattern; pattern and sewing terms; and how to mark and sew a hem.
- You will make a 'very stylish' pull-on using industry techniques. The fabric you will use to make your skirt is a very good quality fabric and there will be many colours to choose from.
The Saturday morning classes are run at different times throughout the year and are for a six week duration only. New classes are posted on the website and if you are on the mailing list you will receive this information in advance.
Beginners are not required to bring anything to class as equipment, patterns and fabric will be provided and is included in the cost.

We only use Bernina sewing machines.
Our Policies:
- Full payment must be received before class commencement.
- It is your responsibility to attend each class; we do not offer ‘make up’ classes, refund or credit.
- The minimum age for class participants is 16 years.
- If a class is cancelled by us, a full refund will be given.
